What We Do
Tort Towers is a community interest company with a focus on rescue, rehabilitation, and safe rehoming of tortoises in Cornwall, UK.
We also provide advice and support to other tortoise keepers all over the UK.
Who We Are
Tort Towers was founded, and is run by Jade Webb who is an experienced tortoise keeper living in North Cornwall with her family. Jade began rescuing tortoises in 2020, almost 30 tortoises and 5 years later she began Tort Towers Rescue CIC, realising her dream of building a rescue shelter for tortoises in need. Jade has 12 tortoises of her own, including Hermanns, Horsefields, Spur Thigh, Redfoot, and Leopards.
What's To Come...
As we grow, we will be fundraising, providing educational events, and linking in with the local community to provide knowledge around proper tortoise care and housing as well as support for existing tortoise keepers.
We will also be creating a community foster programme which will support us in rescuing tortoises from other areas, ensuring safe care while they wait for suitable rehoming.
We are also currently fundraising to expand our tortoise area which will enable us to rescue and rehome more tortoises in need.
