Happy Endings

Here you can read the heartwarming success stories of the many tortoises we have rescued, rehabilitated, and successfully rehomed. Each one is a reminder of why we do what we do, giving abandoned, neglected, or unwanted tortoises a second chance at a happy, healthy life.

'Lakitu'

Lakitu came to Tort Towers unable to use her back legs. She spent some time with us, and with the correct husbandry she started to use her legs. She was rehomed in 2026 to a wonderful family who have continued with her physio and she is improving everyday.

- Jade @ Tort Towers Rescue

"Lakitu is a wonderful little tortoise who is thriving in her new home. Each day she's getting stronger and more confident and we're so happy we get to shower her with love and affection she deserves."

- Lucie

'Tarzan'

Tarzan came to the rescue after being found emaciated in a shed with another tortoise. Tarzan was dangerously underweight but had a great appetite and was able to be rehomed when he was well enough and has continued to thrive with a wonderful family who own many other torts.

'Moses Diamond'

Moses Diamond came to us from a family who had not understood his needs well, and as a result he was suffering with severe Metabolic Bone Disease including soft shell and pain.

Moses has become a resident here, a very much loved member of the Tort Towers family!

'Philippe De'Clermont'

"Philippe has stolen our hearts. We cannot imagine life without him now. The work this tortoise rescue do is nothing short of inspirational."
